Board of Directors Ben Luety, CPA Ben is a CPA and a commercial loan officer with US Bank. He became involved with the Center in 2000 with a strong belief that we have a strong responsibility to care for, love and prepare the Spokane-area children for the future. He is also on the Board of Directors, as treasurer, for Connoisseur Concerts and the Northeast Washington Education Council. He holds a Bachelor and Masters degree in Music from Northwestern University, and likes to fly-fish and backpack with his wife Treena and their chocolate lab, Mrs. Bear. Dora-Faye Hendricks Dora-Faye is a retired Parent Educator and Child and Family Specialist (formerly with SCAN, Spokane Child Abuse and Neglect Prevention Center) and current community volunteer. She was invited to become involved with the Board in 2001 because of her former experience on non-profit boards and she wanted to stay involved in work with children and their families. She has a Bachelors degree in Communications and currently serves as a volunteer for Horizon Hospice, Big Brothers and Sisters, is a Court Appointed Special Advocate Guardian ad Litem, and volunteers in her granddaughter's elementary classroom and at church. She also works part-time as a personal care provider for a paraplegic family friend. Dora-Faye is married and spends her spare time volunteering, on the computer, reading, or in activities with her extended family and friends. Bill Sweigert Bill's 17 years as top HR executive for major Northwest firms, teaching management seminars, and developing effective HR programs brings members practical solutions in EEO/AAP compliance, performance and compensation, management training, employer policies and workplace quality. He's certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources, judged Washington's Best Places to Work, is nationally published on EEO issues and is a certified management educator for Development Dimensions Int'l & Lou Tice - The Pacific Institute. He also teaches HR courses at Gonzaga University, where he received his degree. Pricilla Alaniz Eric Anderson Pete Blackwell Pete became involved with the Center in 2004 after a casual meeting with the Center's Executive Director. His decision to join the Board stems from his belief that the best way to help Spokane-area families realize their opportunities in the community is through proactive measures that allow them to embrace community resources, as well as his belief that the sooner children and families are shown that support network, the greater the successes that can be achieved. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of South Carolina in Business Administration and an MBA from Duquesne University. Pete is currently a Financial Advisor with Edward Jones Investments holding his Accredited Asset Management Specialist (AAMS) designation from the College for Financial Planning. Pete is active in several fraternal and veterans organizations (Shriner's Hospitals, VFW, DAV, etc.) in the Spokane area as well as his church having made several Mission trips abroad. He is a retired Commanding Officer with the US Marine Corps, enjoys competitive shooting and many outdoor activities including snow & water skiing with his wife and daughter. Jeffrey E. Carrol Lisa Dickinson Lisa J. Dickinson is the owner of Dickinson Law Firm, PLLC, located in Spokane, Washington. She practices in the areas of civil and commercial litigation, business law, creditors' rights, creditor bankruptcy, employment law, entertainment law, Indian law, and contract disputes. Ms. Dickinson is admitted to practice in Washington, Idaho, and various tribal jurisdictions. She serves as a Tribal Court Appellate Justice for the Nez Perce Tribe, and for the Northwest Intertribal Court System and is the recent chair of the WSBA Professionalism Committee. Ms. Dickinson donates her free time to serving others, serving as President of the Spokane County Bar Association Young Lawyers, and the Spokane County Washington Women Lawyers. She has also served as a WSBA Leadership Institute Fellow and Advisor, as a Member of the Judicial Evaluation Committee of the Spokane County Bar Association, and Spokane County WWL, and as Treasurer/Audit Budget Chair of the Northwest Justice Project. Ms. Dickinson also has served on the Board of Directors of Rotary Club #21 in Spokane. In her spare time she enjoys papercrafts, reading, and watching sports. William F. Etter Bill is an attorney practicing in Civil litigation. He became involved with the Center in 2003 with a desire to assist the nurturing, growth and early education of Spokane-area children. He also is on the Board of Directors for the LAW Fund (Legal Aid for Washington). He received his Bachelor's Degree from the University of Notre Dame, his J.D. from Gonzaga University and did post-graduate law study at the University of Miami. Bill likes to run, fly fish and attend sports and entertainment events, especially with his grown children. Robert L. Honablue Robert is an administrative assistant to the regional SVP of Washington Trust Bank. He became involved with the Center in late 2006 with hopes of "being part of the solution" rather than just talking about the community's problems. He served four year in the United States Navy aboard the USS NIMITZ (CVN 68) and has traveled the world including South America, Europe, Asia and Africa. He is married, is the father of four girls and enjoys spending time preparing his girls for their life's journeys.
